About Farmingdale United Methodist Men's Club

The Farmingdale United Methodist Men's Club is a group that meets once a month for dinner and fellowship. At these meetings we discuss how we can better serve our God, Church and community. We are a resource for many organizations and programs within the church and community, including heading the program to deliver monthly Communion to shut-ins and help to individuals as needed, assisting the United Methodist Women with events such as the Annual Harvest Fair and maintenance of church facilities including the Thrift Shop. We have also brought bibles to area prisons and worked with the Church World Service to provide a medicine box for international outreach.

We support or sponsor recreational and social activities such as the Annual Church Picnic in the early Fall, the Carl Ganz Memorial Roast Pork Dinner, family events such as Long Island Ducks baseball games, bowling evenings, fishing trips and other events throughout the year.

One of our most important ministries is the annual family retreat we sponsor at Shelter Island's beautiful Camp Quinipet (http://www.umcamps.org/quinipet.htm). This has proven to be both a popular and wonderfully enriching weekend spent with God in Nature. See photos of our 2005 Family Weekend at Camp Quinipet here.

Membership is open to all men of Farmingdale Methodist Church and encompasses a wide spectrum of ages and walks of life. Members are always encouraged to bring guests, who are always welcomed as brothers in Christ.
