Family Programs
 Click to enlarge Children's Lending Library Our Christian-based "Lending Library" is a wonderful ministry offered to children of all ages here at Farmingdale United Methodist Church. It is open every Sunday during coffee hour in fellowship hall. We have a wide assortment of materials from which to choose. Our books range form baby board books to chapter books for teens; both fiction and non-fiction. We have an extensive video collection including the complete Veggie Tales series, the McBee and Me series and the Last Chance detective series, just to name a few. We also feature CD-Roms for the computer, puzzles and many audiocassettes that the kids just love to sing along with. The materials may be checkout out for a maximum of two weeks at which time the children may pick out something else. Our library is always growing, so come on down and take a look, listen to a tape or check out a book. Nutrition and Alternative Health Books for AdultsWe also maintain a library of nutrition and alternative health books for adults, including low-fat cookbooks, books on pregnancy and child health, quitting smoking, nutritional healing and specific conditions. All of these are available for borrowing Sundays at coffee hour. |
