PRELIMINARY MEETING FOR SPECIAL CHURCH CONFERENCE: For those families who would like to participate in our Advent Candle Lighting, there is a sign-up sheet in the So. Transept.

CONFIRMATION CLASS MEETING MEETING with the pastor and confirmands will take place this Sunday at 11:30am.

J.C. CAFÉ: Join us this Sat. Dec. 9th. Hear the music of Joy Filled Noize, an inspirational quartet with an upbeat sound. Doors open at 7:00pm; music starts at 7:30pm. Suggested donation is $5.00. Coffee and desserts are on the house.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT/POTLUCK DINNER: Dec. 10th. The children should be dropped off for rehearsal at 3:00, at 4:30 will be a potluck dinner and at 5:30 the pageant in the Sanctuary. Wesley & Cherub choirs will be singing. Dessert to follow. Please bring a dish to share. If you are bringing a hot dish, please bring it heated.

UMW MINI-FAIR: Sunday, Dec. 10th in Fellowship Hall after service. Gift items and jewelry from China will be available, along with other gift items and crafts. Donations of baked goods would be appreciated.

UMW ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DINNER: Tues. Dec. 12th, 6:00pm in Fellowship Hall. All women are invited. Full turkey dinner $12.00. For info. see Barbara Gray.

FOR ALL CHURCH MEMBERS: There will be a Church Conference on Dec. 17th, 11:00am in the Sanctuary to vote on 1) the NY Church of Christ's building usage and 2) the 2007 Church Budget.

DONATIONS FOR SOLDIERS: The Sunday School will be collecting items for the soldiers overseas throughout the next several weeks. There will be a box in the So. Transept for any donations you may have. Any questions, see Jenn Lee. Thank you!

CHRISTMAS CAROLING: Please join us on Dec. 17th at 5:00pm for a Potluck Dinner and then at 6:00pm we will go Caroling. The dinner and caroling are in conjunction with MYF, but is open to everyone.
Note to MYF: Bring 2 dozen of your favorite holiday cookies. We will be putting together gift bags for Soup Group and going caroling at 6:00pm.

ATTENTION ALL UNITED METHODIST WOMEN: If you would like to participate in our Christmas Giving Program for 2006, please bring items wrapped in plain paper with a tag, describing the item and size enclosed. Our gifts will be going to the Latino Institute of Pastoral Care in Manhattan. The following items are needed: shirts, blouses and sweatshirts for girls and boys in toddler, small and medium sizes. Sneakers or shoes in the following sizes: Girls 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, 7, 8 1/2, 9 1/2 (black sneakers) and Boys 8, 9, 9 1/2. Please bring to the Christmas dinner in on Dec. 12th, or drop off to any member attending.
