BUILDING ON FAITH BENEFIT CHOIR CONCERT: this Sun. 11/4 at 3:30pm at Bible Korean UMC, Dix Hills. Our church choir will be joining 11 other choirs from the Long Island East District. Proceeds will benefit the 2008 building of the "United Methodist House" with Habitat for Humanity. Please see Dorinha Faria for tickets.

CARL GANZ MEMORIAL ROAST PORK DINNER: It's that time again! The United Methodist Men will present the annual Carl Ganz Memorial Roast Pork Dinner on Sat., Nov. 10, 2007 at 6:30 PM in Fellowship Hall. The dinner menu will be salad, oven-roasted pork with homemade gravy, potatoes, fresh vegetables, dessert and beverages. Chef Jeff Malecki will be supervising food preparation. Tickets for the dinner are $13.50 per person. Child-care will be provided if requested. For tickets, see Jeff James or a member of United Methodist Men. CREATIVE WORSHIP: The New York Annual Conference, in partnership with the Parish Resource Center of Long Island, presents a special event featuring new ideas on worship techniques on Sat., November 17th 8:00am-4:30pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 400 Hempstead Ave., Malverne, NY. The seminar focuses on integrating different types of digital media and creative use of graphics and video for the purpose of communicating the Gospel through powerful, transforming stories.
