John Wesley - 1703-2003

"I look upon the whole world as my parish."

John Wesley was born on 17 June 1703 ('old style' calendar - or 28 June in the 'new style' calendar after 1752). His birthplace was Epworth in Lincolnshire, England. He was a renowned preacher and spiritual leader of the 'Methodist revival'.

"I look upon the whole world as my parish."

The occasion of the tercentenary of John Wesley's birth offers us the opportunity to celebrate the life of one of the most influential personalities in the history of the Methodist Church.

We have compiled a list of websites where you can find information about John Wesley and also his brother Charles and their mother Susanna, all three important figures in the early church. Many of these resources are also available in Spanish.
